This wonderful and iconic Hermes 3000 typewriter was made in Switzerland in 1963 and comes in the standard Hermes pastel green colour with mint green keys, space bar and carriage knobs. Hermes typewriters were designed and made in Switzerland by Paillard before production moved to France and then to Brazil. They have a good reputation as wonderfully engineered and made machines, as you would expect from the Swiss. This one is in full working order and types very well. It has the rarer and uncommon  Hermes cursive "elite " typeface giving you 13 letters to the inch and as it was originally distributed in the US market it has a $ sign key and no £ sign key.

We have given it a professional clean, service, adjusted and tested it and fitted a new top quality American made ribbon on metal spools so its all ready for you to start typing on.

It is in an extremely good general condition with just a couple of very small marks and signs of paint touchup's to the aluminium metal body mainly on the right front corner and at the back and side of the carriage on the left side. It comes with a copy of an instruction booklet showing all its features and giving tips such as changing the ribbon and setting the margins and it's two original cleaning brushes. The body of the typewriter measures 32 cm by 33 cm by 14 cm high.

Group 9 or Universal typewriter ribbons can be purchased from us when required. They cost from £6.95 including postage and are available in a plain black or two tone red and black as well as other colour options on Universal spools. You can drop the spools in or rewind the new ribbon onto the metal spools.

This Hermes 3000 comes with a carry case lid which is also in a very good condition with just a few marks and it just clips down over the typewriter to give you a handle to carry it around. The handle and the closure fittings both work well.

This is a lovely and very collectable Hermes 3000 typewriter with it's curved and iconic design as well as being in a good working condition and having the rarer cursive typeface.
